“Super Mario Bros: The Movie” has released its official trailer and we already have the first look at Chris Pratt and Jack Black in the voices of Mario and Bowser. The film also has within its cast Seth Rogen, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Keyamong other actors. The advance came at the virtual Nintendo Direct event and its creator Shigeru Miyamoto was present at its revelation.
After the reveal of the poster for the animated film, the trailer that fans have been waiting for since the voice cast was announced has finally arrived.
The feature film, in charge of the Illumination studio (which also made the “The Minions” tapes), is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic.
Chris Pratt as Mario: is he convincing or not?
In the original English trailer, the voices of Jack Black have already been heard as an imposing and evil Bowser; Keegan-Michael Key as Toad; Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and more.
Of course, what the public most wanted to hear was Chris Pratt’s voice as Mario. This can be heard for just a few seconds, but this has been enough for the audience to express itself.
In general, opinions are divided between those who believe that Pratt’s casting is good enough, while others detest it completely.
However, the reception of the film seems to be positive, especially due to Black’s vocal work as the main villain of Nintendo’s most beloved plumber.
“Super Mario Bros: The Movie” opens in Peru on April 6, 2023.
