After presenting the first gameplay footage last year, many expressed doubts about Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, especially when compared to Rocksteady's previous high-quality productions. The studio for its part, through the words of product director Darius Sadeghian, wants to reassure players of the fact that the game has the DNA of the Batman: Arkham series.
During an interview with Play Magazine, Sadeghian explained that for the studio Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League represents the greatest story ever made so far and that internally does not label it simply as a GaaS.
“We don't think our game can be labeled in any particular way,” Sadeghian said. “It still has the DNA that infuses the Batman: Arkham series, the foundations of the story and characters are absolutely central to our creative process. From a story perspective, this is our biggest gamebut we are also very interested in being there for players who want to stay with us and continue the adventure.”
Lots of free content in the first year after launch
In the same interview, the product director states that the studio intends to be “very generous” towards the players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and that for this reason it plans to give away a large number of free content for one year after launch.
“It's very important for us be generous with people playing our game, so for the first year after launch, we have a large amount of new content that will be free completions for those who own the game,” Sadeghian said.
Going into more detail, Sadeghian mentioned new content among the free content after launch stories, missions, places, equipment, costumes, aesthetic accessories and so on. He also hinted at a number of new features already in the works, one of which we already know is an offline mode.
We remind you that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be available on PS5, Xbox Series February 2, 2024while the debut on the Epic Games Store has been postponed to March 5, 2024.
