tropical storm Celia has intensified and could become category 1 hurricane this Saturday, so the National Meteorological Service (SMN) forecasts heavy rains in 8 states of Mexico, from Durango, Sinaloa and Jalisco to Chiapas.

The phenomenon will cause heavy rains in the states of Colima, Jalisco and Nayarit with up to 75 to 150 millimeters of water.

Waves of 2 to 4 meters could appear on the coasts of Colima, Guerrero, Jalisco and Michoacán, with strong winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
Celia was located approximately 410 kilometers (km) southwest of Manzanillo, Colima, and 400 southwest of Playa Pérula, Jalisco, at 7:00 p.m. (Central Mexico time).
It maintains maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h, gusts of 100 km/h and its movement continues towards the west-northwest at 19 km/h.
