The “Al-Zajil Challenges” Falconry Championship was recently launched in the Bida Al-Ashoush region, organized by the Zayed Center for Studies and Research of the Emirates Heritage Club, in partnership with a number of entities, and will continue until February 15th.
Falconers flocked to the championship site, all of them vigor and activity in order to achieve victory and (the law) that they seek and which means a lot to them.
The first day witnessed strong competition and continuous chasing between the homing pigeon and the hawks of the 20 participants in the first group, which numbered 20 falconers. This award is given to the best performing falcon in terms of maneuverability, cruising speed, and the distance between the falcon and the homing pigeon.
The participants expressed their happiness to participate in the championship that celebrates the heritage of parents and grandparents, extending their thanks to the Emirates Heritage Club and the organizing committee, which always meets their demands and serves the heritage of falconry and falconry.
The tournament continues next Friday, when 20 participants in the second group will compete.
