Starting today, many new events will also be available, including a raid in the Battle Hub in which we will be able to face a gigantic Akuma helped by players from all over the world, or a challenge with SiRN Akuma thanks to which we will be able to obtain exclusive rewards for our skill. Akuma is available today in Street Fighter™ 6!
The release is accompanied by a major battle balance update, new Outfit 3, and a limited-time raid event in the Battle Hub!
Milan (22 May 2024) – Unleash your inner demon starting today with the release of Akuma, the fiercest warrior to hit the streets of Street Fighter™ 6, available today for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series S and PC via Steam! Akuma is now available in all three game modes: players can fight and train with Akuma in Fighting Ground, visit Akuma in his natural habitat in World Tour, and equip their avatar with his demonic moveset in Battle Hub. Also available alongside the release of Akuma are two new Battle Hub experiences, four new Outfit 3 skins, and a host of battle balance updates for all existing characters in the roster.

Furthermore, starting today, lots of new content is arriving, including:
- Giant Akuma: An all-new Battle Hub raid event, “Giant Attack,” pits all players on every Battle Hub server against a giant Akuma! Accumulate attack points by completing various activities, team up with other players in the Battle Hub, then throw a mega-powered Hadoken to defeat the enormous enemy by May 31st for special rewards!
- Test your strength against SiRN Akuma: Do you think you have what it takes to beat the best of the best? How about a stronger, fiercer, and smarter version of Akuma? Test your luck in one of the Battle Hub’s special cabinets and earn exclusive rewards for defeating SiRN Akuma!
- Dress up with the new Outfit 3 content: Fight in style with all-new Outfit 3 skins for all four Year 1 DLC characters, including Akuma, Ed, AKI, and Rashid!
- Major battle balance update: With the release of the final Year 1 DLC character comes a new battle facelift for all characters on the roster. Check out all the changes in the detailed patch notes here.
- New universal reversal mechanics: All 22 characters now have a brand new Recovery Drive Reversal move that can be performed while getting up from a fall!
- New combo tests: Go to the Fighting Ground and perfect all new combos for some characters via Combo Trials thanks to the Battle Balance update.
- Custom music settings and new BGM bundles: Want to listen to specific BGM songs while fighting? No problem! Check out the new character BGM settings in the Audio tab and turn the volume up to 11! There’s also a new BGM bundle available for purchase via Dive Ticket or Fighter Coin featuring songs from the Street Fighter series!
- New challenge screens: New challenge screens are available to spice up combat!
