“stranger things” is set in the 80s, a time characterized mainly by presenting legendary rock songs that to this day are listened to by millions of lovers of the genre.
From the first season of the series written by the Duffer brothers, it was possible to listen to classic songs from Joy Division, The Clash, The Bangles, among others. But it was not until the recent season that an eighties song went viral by occupying the top positions in the international music rankings.
Kate Bush’s “Running up that hill” was then heard by old fans of the singer and caught the attention of a new generation. Now, after having finished the fourth season and the last episode, we present a shocking mixture of “Master of puppets” with “One”, both by Metallicawe show you the songs that were presented throughout this last installment.

Rock revived thanks to “Stranger things”
This fourth season has not only presented us with a darker and more terrifying story than the previous ones, it has also surprised us by bringing, again, classics from the 80s. During one of the first scenes we can hear the sound of “Psycho killer” by Talking heads . Later, when the skating rink where Eleven goes with Mike and Will is shown, “You spin me round” by Dead or alive is heard and later we can hear “Tarzan boy” by Baltimora.
We can also enjoy the classic “California Dreamin”, but from The Beach Boys version. To summarize the list, these are the missing songs that were a success in their time and that sounded again in “stranger things 4″.
- “Separate ways” by Jouner, Bryce Miller/Alloy tracks remix
- “Detroit Rock City” by Kiss
- “Musical Youth” by Pass The Dutchie
- “Rock me amadeus” by The gold mix
- “Wipe Out” by The Surfaris
- “Stranger in a strange land” by Iron Maiden.
Finally, the two classics that have stood out the most due to the sequence of images and emotions that they have shown us on the screen are Kate Bush’s “Running up that hill” and Metallica’s “Master of Pupptes”.
A curious fact that the good listener of this genre has surely noticed is that at the end of Eddie Munson’s guitar solo he can be heard playing “One”, also by Metallica.
There is no doubt that the Duffer brothers have known how to win over their fans, presenting us with a series with an interesting drama and reviving musical classics that have generated emotion and nostalgia for more than one rock lover. As the final dialogue of the movie “Metal lords” says: “Fashions come and go, but metal is forever”.
