Works by Jeff Duprado will be on display at Espaço Cultural STJ from June 5th to July 3rd, 2024
The STJ (Superior Court of Justice) will host the exhibition “Brasília Além dos Palácios”, by the artist Jeff Duprado, starting June 5th. At the opening of the exhibition, there will be a cocktail at 6:30 pm, at STJ Cultural Spaceon the mezzanine of the Plenary Building (2nd floor).
The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 7pm, until July 3, 2024.
The exhibition brings together watercolor techniques on paper and oil on canvas, portraying the everyday landscapes that make up the identity of the federal capital.
“This new series was born from the idea of presenting a different Brasília from what is normally seen in paintings, photographs, illustrations and crafts that pay homage to the federal capital”, states Duplicated on your Instagram profile.
“I sought to translate in these paintings the experience of those who live in Plano Piloto, but also to show another perspective, that of those who are passing through these territories. It’s the look of a gardener who can only see an annex building from the back, the path that a student from the outskirts takes on foot between the blocks to participate in the city’s cultural scene. I want to show Brasília as I see it and, in the process, tell a story that, in a way, has not yet been told.”says the artist.
