The minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, ordered this Saturday, 5th, the subpoena of the candidate for Mayor of São Paulo, Pablo Marçal, to give testimony within 24 hours about the use of the social network ‘X’, which is suspended in Brazil by order of the Supreme Court. In the order, he asks that the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), minister Cármen Lúcia, be made official of his decision and the Federal Police report sent to the minister today.
According to Moraes, in the letter, the corporation states that it identified “intense activity” on Marçal’s profile in recent days, starting on Wednesday, 2. In the report, the PF even mentions the posting of the report with signs of falsification used by Marçal to attack federal deputy Guilherme Boulos.
“It also states that at 5:50 am, on October 5, 2024, the profile published a video in which there was a notification of the removal of a post on the social network Instagram. The title of the post was “HERE IS THE PROOF ABOUT BOULES”” , writes the minister.
“It should be noted that the systematic use of this profile today, as well as in previous days, fits the hypothesis of monitoring extreme cases, in which users use subterfuge to access and publish on platform X, in a systematic and improper way, with the purpose of spreading disinformation regarding the 2024 elections, with hateful and anti-democratic speech, as demonstrated by the Attorney General’s Office,” stated Moraes.
