Artist Elena Stepanenko appealed against the court’s decision on the division of jointly acquired property in the framework of the divorce proceedings with humorist Yevgeny Petrosyan. Lawyer Sergei Zhorin told Channel Five about this.
According to the representative of the humorist, he did not doubt Stepanenko at all. “Initially, Elena Grigorievna demanded almost 80 percent of the jointly acquired property,” he said.
As the lawyer noted, despite the fact that during the many years of trial the artist’s appetites had slightly diminished, she still asked for more than required by law. “I asked to take into account exchange rates, dishes, some kind of silverware. It became clear that no matter what court decision was made, it would not suit her, ”Zhorin said.
He added that he and his client were ready for this, but have not yet received a complaint. “When we get it, we will familiarize ourselves and prepare the position,” the channel’s interlocutor concluded.
The financial condition of Petrosyan was in the focus of attention of journalists because of his divorce from Stepanenko. It turned out that the couple through the court divided the jointly acquired property in the amount of 1.5 billion rubles. On June 10, the Khamovnichesky Court of Moscow divided the property equally between Petrosyan and Stepanenko.
