The CEO, for strengthen capital and increase shareholder returnsaims to improve production efficiency on the one hand and on the other to cut 500 million euros in operating costs within the next six months.
Leapmotor starts electric production in the Polish Stellantis plant
And while we think about the expatriation of the workers, Stellantis-led joint venture has started production of electric vehicles from China’s Leapmotor at Stellantis’ Tychy plant in Poland. Jefferies analysts made this known, citing the management of Leapmotor. Stellantis and Leapmotor have created a joint venture, led by the French-Italian automaker with a 51% stake, which gives Stellantis exclusive rights to build, export and sell Leapmotor products outside of China, a first for a Western car manufacturer.
Production costs at the Polish plant amount to around 400-500 euros ($428.08-$535.10) per car, similar to those at Leapmotor’s base in China, versus around 1,000 euros in Italy. . Leapmotor plans to produce its C10 SUV in China and export it to Europe at an early stage, as this model could sell for higher prices.
