Barelli: “Fiat has had strong benefits from the State in the past and therefore maximum prudence is needed”

Paolo Barelligroup leader of Forza Italia in the Chamber, interviewed by Affaritaliani.itexpresses caution on the hypothesis of an entry of the Italian State into Stellantis after the words of Carlos Tavares, number one of the Franco-Italian multinational.
“Frankly, we are on this hypothesis extremely cautious, also because Stellantis – in the previous version that is Fiat – has had strong benefits from the State in the past and therefore maximum prudence is needed. We cannot go against the tide of the privatization process. We are in favor of support, agreed with Europe, for sectors in crisis, but involving the country in the management of private companies is another thing. A possibility to be evaluated very carefully and with great caution”, concludes Barelli.
