Steam established a new record, overcoming i 27 million users connected simultaneously to the platform, to be precise 27.182.165.
As mentioned, this is a new peak after the 25 million concurrent users on Steam last January, and certainly some of the most successful titles at the moment have contributed to this.
For example, the excellent free-to-play multiplayer sector of Halo Infinite, which dubbed Battlefield 2042 on the Valve platform, or the traditional blockbusters such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds.
The Steam Fall Sales have also contributed to the number of contemporary users, leading in some cases to a real relaunch; like Cyberpunk 2077, returned to the top of the charts and blessed with a number of positive reviews.
As previously written, there is a real possibility that it was last year’s lockdown that triggered this new growth path, leading people to generally spend more time at home.
