Steam Deck seems to be meant specifically for modders, since recently Valve has published the CAD files of the laptop body just to make it easier for people to create accessories.

Includes an STP and STL model and drawings (DWG) as references“.
The company uploaded the CAD files on your GitLab page as well as a series of technical guidelines on the design of the case. Anyone can make their own edits to the files, and anyone with a 3D printer will be able to print the case and more.
