Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa declared a state of emergency on Monday following the escape of notorious drug criminal Fito. He is considered one of Ecuador's most dangerous drug criminals, according to Spanish newspaper El País. Fito is also suspected of being involved in the assassination of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio last August.
