From Atomicom to Starlight Games
Company representatives told GamesIndustry.biz, that Starlight Games was formed as a different company because new investments were allocated to focus on building a team around a new IPmoving away from his previous specialization of adjunct study.
“We decided we wanted a fresh studio focused on creating our own IP, so Starlight Games was born,” said founder and CEO Gary Nichols.
“We already had a core team and we wanted to build on that with our great relationships, experience and history and ensure we have the right talent in-house, as well as those we work with as like-minded contractors,” explains Nichols. “We've worked to bring in a lot of new people and give them a great place to work and the chance to help us move forward and build this new studio.”
“The company is on a mission to create the best experiences using the power of Unreal Engine 5, with a focus on nurturing young talent from the local community with the goal of nurturing the next generation of game developers and innovating game mechanics”.
