One of the most anticipated games by fans of the galaxy far, far away is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in its remake version, a game about which there has not been much information recently. And now, it is said that the video game development studio would have changed to make way for a more experienced team.
A recent report from Bloomberg indicated that KOTOR was put on “hiatus” after two of the game’s directors were fired. This came after the team presented a demo to Sony Y lucasfilmleaving the project essentially in limbo.
At the time, there was speculation that it might move on to another developer and it looks like that’s exactly what will happen. In a new earnings report, Embracer Group he noted that he had moved an AAA project to another developer to “ensure the quality bar is where we need it to be for the title.”
Here his comment:
One of the AAA projects has passed to another studio within the Group. This was done to ensure that the quality bar is where we need it to be for the title. We do not expect any material delay to the title based on this transition.
Statements have not yet been made, but it is possible that those responsible, Aspyr Mediano longer have to do with the project.
