Legendary composer John Williams may be working on his latest film. The 90-year-old American, who wrote music for, among others, Jaws† Star Wars and Jurassic Parkhints in a conversation with AP news agency that his work for Indiana Jones 5 may be his last soundtrack.
,,I’m currently working on Indiana Jones 5, which I believe Harrison Ford – who is a lot younger than me – has said will be his last film. So I thought, if Harrison does that, then maybe I can.” Incidentally, the 79-year-old Ford has not officially announced that he will stop and Williams is also concerned. “I don’t want to become someone who rejects everything in advance,” Williams said. “I can’t play tennis, but I like to believe that one day I might.”
However, Williams wants to organize his time in a different way. A movie like Star Wars quickly requires six months of work, the composer notes. “That’s a very long commitment for me at the moment.” Williams therefore now mainly focuses on writing concert music.
