The news had been in the air for a while and now it is official: Randy Krummenacher has been confirmed in the CM Racing team in Supersport also for 2022. The Swiss will be entrusted with the Panigale V2 955, and this is the other great new for 2022: as already announced, the CM Racing team leaves Yamaha at the end of this year and will race with a Ducati from next season. It will be a new challenge for the team and the driver, who will fight together.
Krummenacher had joined the Roman team during the second half of this season as a replacement for the injured Luca Bernardi. Immediately author of excellent performances, the 2019 Supersport world champion conquered success in Barcelona, convincing CM Racing, looking for a rider after the announcement of Bernardi’s move to Superbike with Barni. The Swiss will therefore race with the CM colors for the whole of next year.
CM Racing thus relies on a highly experienced rider, who made his debut in 2016 in Supersport after having raced in the world championship in 125cc and in Moto2. In the 600 class of the production derivatives it boasts six wins and 16 podiums, in addition to the world title won in 2019 with the Evan Bros. team. Not only Krummenacher: in 2022 the CM Racing team aims to field two bikes on the track and the name of the Swiss teammate could be announced as early as the next few days.

We got on right from the start, as evidenced by the victory in Barcelona, so I am very confident for 2022. Having already tested it in the past, I believe that the Ducati V2 955 will be a very competitive bike, from which my team will be able to make the most of. Now we have to focus on the last round of the 2021 season in Indonesia, then we will immediately get to work for next season ”.
Alessio Cavaliere, CM Racing Team Principal, echoes: “Our collaboration with Randy was fruitful right from the start, so we are very happy to continue together. 2022 represents a great challenge, which together with a fast and experienced driver like Krummenacher does not scare us. Now we want to finish the 2021 season in the best possible way, and then immediately start working with a view to next year “.
