For a couple of generations now it has been noted that Square Enix always has preferences when releasing their video games on certain platforms, especially they have affinity with PlayStation to launch large projects, and one of them is Final Fantasy XIVwhich had a turbulent start but is now a huge success. With that in mind, this same release also came to Xbox And that is the first step in something that can result in closer collaboration.
Recently, Naoki Yoshida has mentioned that the company will be releasing twice as many games to support the platforms of Microsoftadding that the reception of the MMO RPG was quite strong, adding that this will be the starting point to establish better ties. That means that games from important franchises, including the remakes of Final Fantasy VII Remake and XVI could have the possibility of reaching these consoles.
This mentioned:
With the release of Final Fantasy 14 on Xbox, Phil Spencer put a lot of time and effort and worked hard to make it a reality. So we’d like to take full advantage of that and further deepen the relationship with Xbox players in the future.
At Square Enix we have been changing our policy. So now we are moving towards the policy of releasing our games on a multi-platform basis, and we really want as many players as possible to play our titles.
With Final Fantasy 14 as a starting point, we want to release more Square Enix games on Xbox, and there will be more of our titles released on Xbox. So I hope that players will be looking forward to seeing future things on the platform.
For now the process of Japanese games coming more frequently to Xbox is growing, given that not long ago franchises such as Ace Attorney were added not only to the console’s catalogue, but also to the service Game Pass. This is reflected in turn with Kunitsu Gami: Path of the Goddess.

Author’s note: Hopefully more games from the company will arrive over the years, in the end their releases are worth trying, and it wouldn’t be right to restrict them to the public.
