Extreme weather events multiply on the planet. The last one these days has been Hurricane Ian as it passed through the US, but the boreal summer that has just ended in Europe has been marked by large fires and drought in different parts of the continent, while countries like Pakistan have been hit by strong floods that have left more than a thousand dead. Are we getting used to extreme weather? Is this the new normal? We analyze it in our program.
In this edition of En Primera Plana we analyze how our cities and environments are normalizing these conditions derived from climate change and that, apparently, are no longer reversible. For this we talk with our guests:
– Andrey Hernández Meza, doctor in urban planning and geoeconomics.
– Florencia Ángeles, correspondent for Colombia’s W radio in Paris.
– Sebastián Morales, associate architect in the Cuadra architects office.
