We are in the pre-Lucca Comics & Games period, which this year promises to be a truly important event in terms of the names it will attract, but let’s not forget that, even in the rest of Europe, great events are taking place, including consolidated and more emerging.
The SPIEL Essenwhich took place this year between October 3 and 6 in Essen, Germanyis certainly one of those emerging events that lovers of the world of board games must necessarily keep an eye on.
Following a 2023 edition which achieved particularly interesting numbers (almost 200,000 visitors from all over the world) the new edition as soon as it ended she was able to exceed expectations.
For the first time, the organization decided to opt for the formula of limited tickets per day and, very quickly, sold-out occurred before the midweek appointments and, subsequently, also the one concerning the weekend.
The total visitors, thus, have exceeded the 200,000 mark: a result which, the organization recalls, goes beyond any record set by the event to date.
Filling over 68,500 square meters of events, gaming tables and presentations, we can consider this edition of the fair the largest ever by any measure. Given this great success, the organization declared itself to be already working to create a 2025 edition even more decisive.
