Finally here we are: after a series of not too funny bounces due to rumors that attested the release of a possible trailer dedicated to Spider-Man No Way Home at least every week, Sony eventually revealed the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Spider-Man movie.
In video, which shows so many new and interesting scenes, we can see many interesting details related to double sending with Spider-Man Far From Home: obviously what we will talk about below could be spoilers for those who have not seen the previous films.
The story seems to pick up exactly from the end of the previous film: Spider-Man by now he has been unmasked, and is known to all as Peter Parker. This obviously will lead to upheavals in the boy’s life, who will be forced to contact Dr. Strange to fix things. However, a series of events will bring our friendly Spiderman to face dangers that don’t seem to come from this universe.
The film will also take important details from the TV series Loki (here our explanation of the ending), which in fact opened the doors to the multiverse Marvel: it is also not said that we could also see characters linked to the previous films of Spider-Man, or rather the new ones of Venom.
By analyzing better the trailer of Spider-Man No Way Home, it seems that the narrative arc to which the film will be inspired in part will be Just Another Day: in this story, written by J. Michael Straczynski and designed by Joe Quesada, Spider-Man had made his identity known to the world because of the Civil War, with the consequences that saw his life undermined by his historical enemies, and Aunt May in the hospital, seriously injured. For this, Peter Parker will ultimately rely on Mephisto, who in exchange for marriage to Mary Jane will erase Spider-Man’s real identity from everyone’s mind.
In the trailer it appears that this process will be initiated by the Dr. Strange, but that something will go wrong (probably due to the interruptions of Peter who, right in the middle of the spell, will realize that erasing his identity from everyone’s mind will also do so in those of MJ, Ned and Aunt May): for this reason , old enemies like the Doctor Octopus (played by Alfred Molina, actor who also played him in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 2) will return to annoy our Spider-Man, in a downward spiral linked to the multiverse that will probably lead to the arrival of new characters and old faces.
Spider-Man No Way Home it will be released at the cinema at Christmas and will see Tom Holland again as Peter Parker / Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May. Jamie Fox as Max Dillon / Electro and Alfred Molina as Otto Octavious / Doctor Octopus also return from previous iterations of Spider-Man, although welcome returns are rumored (but very unlikely) like that of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Confirmed instead the presence of Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange.
