The German police are searching with all their might for Yasemin Gündogan (28), an employee of a money transport company who made off with 8 million euros. The remarkable robbery already took place on May 21 near Bremen. Since there is still no trace of the woman, the help of the public is now called in.
It was Gündogan’s task to place banknotes in the cash cassettes provided for that purpose. A driver of a cash transport van then takes the valuable contents to various ATMs in the region.
This time, however, it would be different. Gundogan stuffed 8 million euros into various bags and then used a wheeled dumpster to take out the loot.
Prepared to perfection
The theft was planned down to the last detail. The van that Gundogan used to flee was found to be rented and had false number plates. She then returned the vehicle neatly, as if nothing had happened.
Her employer Loomis was told that she had suddenly become ill and had to go home early. Thus the woman aroused no suspicion. Result: it would be several days before the robbery was discovered.
For now, the track leads to a seedy shisha bar near Bremen station. Gündogan himself had been working there since 2014. Famous guests regularly visit, such as ex-goalkeeper Tim Wiese and actor Mustafa Alin — known from the German version of the soap. Good times Bad Times. However, the owners of the establishment are said to be part of a criminal family.
Investigators now wonder whether Gundogan co-designed the plans with them or was forced to do the job on their behalf. It is suspected that the woman herself has fled abroad in the meantime. Turkey is high on the list because its roots are there. A possible companion of the fugitive woman has been arrested.
‘Never without makeup’
,,Yasemin always felt like partying and attached great importance to her appearance. I’ve never seen her without makeup,” one of her friends told the German newspaper picture. “We all thought she wasn’t that smart, but with this strategy she proves otherwise,” adds a former schoolmate.
Gündogan grew up in a problem area of Bremen. She lived with her younger sister and her mother, who earns a living as a bus driver. according to picture it was her father who led her to Loomis. He used to work there as a driver.
