The head of the press service of the football club “Spartak” Dmitry Zelenov on Monday, October 25, commented on the reasons for the detention of fans of the red and white at the stadium in St. Petersburg during the 12th round match of “Tinkoff – Russian Premier League” against “Zenith”.
The Moscow club explained that two days before the start of the game, a meeting was held with the participation of the League, clubs and the police, at which an agreement was reached on providing Spartak fans with buses after the match, which is associated with the complex logistics of the St. Petersburg stadium.
The team representative also clarified that the upset fans tried to leave the stadium after the first half, when the score in favor of the blue-white-blue was already 4: 0.

Earlier on Sunday, it was reported about the detention of five football fans of “Spartak” in St. Petersburg during the break of the match with “Zenith”. At the same time, the police officers used truncheons and stun guns on them. According to REN TV, the fans were prosecuted for petty hooliganism, and three of them were issued and released, two remained in the police station.
