Last year, 117 bonds were granted, which add up to the 96 delivered the previous year. This amount should be invested in the implementation of technologies that help them gain efficiency, reduce their consumption and, consequently, reduce their emissions and avoid fossil fuels. To do this, the program, undertaken in 2023, makes a previous measurement of the carbon footprint of the establishment with the objective of knowing the starting point, prepares a detailed report with recommendations and a roadmap to reduce its emissions, in addition to selecting Together with the establishment, the technology that will be implemented with the climatic bonus. A year later, the carbon footprint measurement is re -calculated to calculate the reduction of emissions achieved.
The information extracted from the measurement of these carbon footprints becomes part of the database of the Climate Action Observatory of the hotel sector, also driven by hospitality #porelclima in 2024. This observatory, pioneer in Europe, allows you to have accurate information on the impact of the sector activity, as well as the result of the actions developed.
