Spanish GP, Ricciardo doesn’t want to stop

Now the Australian is looking for continuity of performance on the RB, and for the Montmeló round he wants a new placement in Q3 and above all the points for the third weekend of the season: it would be the second consecutive top-10, an objective that has been missing since July 2022.

“Barcelona is always a track where everyone brings updates, so I think it will be a very close weekend. Let’s see what the others bring. I’m happy they changed the last sector last year, making it faster. I can’t wait to get back to this track. It’s usually quite familiar, but we haven’t done any testing there this year, so it should be fun. I’m looking forward to continuing this momentum, looking for more Q3 finishes and points finishes. I’ve waited a while, but I like to think that it’s the start of a season in which I will continue to progress and to show performances like those of Montreal”, this is Ricciardo’s comment.
Tsunoda’s words
“Barcelona is a difficult test for the car, but so far this season the VCARB 01 seems to perform well on all circuits, so I have no concerns regarding performance“added Tsunoda. “As for the track itself, sector 1 and sector 3 are different and it is not possible to have a car that is well balanced in both, so a compromise is necessary, but we are not worried about that. The key will be to understand how our package works on this track as early as possible during free practice and then get the most out of it. This is also a track where overtaking is difficult, so qualifying will once again be very important. In the last few races I seem to have a good performance in qualifying, perhaps due to the way I work during free practice and the fact that I am able to control my emotions, manage myself better and do it consistently. This improves the guidance and feedback and gives me more confidence”.
