Spanish football announced this Tuesday the creation of a crisis committee with the aim of supporting the victims of the DANA that has already caused more than 200 deaths. This committee will be made up of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), LaLiga, Liga F, the Valencian Football Federation and the Castilla La Mancha Football Federation and its task will be to analyze the damage to sports infrastructure and collaborate in its reconstruction. “once the minimum normality has been recovered.”
With this decision they intend “give all possible support” in the field of infrastructure through material and personal support to sports clubs and structures.
«Right now the priority is the search for the missing and caring for thousands of families who have lost everything. For this reason, the committee will carry out the damage assessment of the sports facilities where football is played, once minimal normality has been recovered,” reported the text issued by the clubs’ association.
A hundred facilities affected
According to these entities, there is currently evidence that, at the moment, there are 105 football and futsal facilities affected.
This work will be launched by the presidents of the Valencian Football Federation, Salvador Gomar, and the Federation of Castilla La Mancha, Pablo Burillo, to help the victims of this catastrophe.
