Spain in the round of 16 of the World Cup… thanks to the favor of Germany

The Spanish team has managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar. That is the only positive part that can be taken from the match against Japan, everything else was nonsense with a final outcome that not even the most disastrous scriptwriter could have imagined.

At the end of the match between Spain and Germany, Rüdiger asked Carvajal to beat Japan to have a chance of being in the round of 16… but the roulette wheel of fate, whimsical as it is, made the Spanish team put themselves in the hands of Germany in one last heart attack day

Three minutes passed between Costa Rica’s 2-1 draw and Havertz’s goal that put Spain back into the round of 16. 3 minutes in which half of Spain entrusted itself to Germany, since the feeling conveyed by Luis Enrique’s team is that they were incapable of overcoming events and scoring a goal for Japan. 3 minutes in which the entire discourse built around this selection collapsed like a house of cards. 3 minutes of overflowing joy in Costa Rica, but 3 minutes where we Spaniards had our hearts in our fists.

In the end, Spain is in the round of 16 and not only on its own merits. Now Morocco awaits in the next phase and the only thing left to do is face that game with the lesson well learned because the moment of truth has arrived and neither Havertz nor Germany will be there to come to the rescue.
