BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s sow herd grew 6.6% in October from a year earlier, to 43.48 million head, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs said on Friday.
However, the size of the herd – an indicator for the market in the largest consumer of pork in the world – fell 2.5% compared to the previous month.
