Soviet international journalist Georgy Zubkov died in Moscow. This was announced on July 5 by his wife.

Zubkov in the early 60s was part of the journalistic pool that accompanied the then Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev on trips. From 1972 to 1981, he headed the regional Department of Television and Radio for Western Europe in Paris.
