Pitcairn is lonely and remote
The promises sound too good to be true. It's not surprising that there isn't just one catch. It is a very small island. It is just 3.5 kilometers diagonally. In total, it covers an area of just 4.5 square kilometers, where only 35 people live.
Adamstown, the only settlement and therefore also the capital, is 0.2 square kilometers in size. There are almost no paved roads. These factors make the island not exactly attractive for emigration.
