South Korea presented a model of an unmanned amphibious MLRS at an exhibition
The South Korean company Hanwha Aerospace presented an unmanned multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) at the KADEX-2024 exhibition. About this reports Defense Blog.
At the exhibition they showed a mock-up of an amphibious installation on a three-axle chassis. The product is capable of carrying eight missiles. “In a statement, Hanwha Aerospace said the system is a significant advance in amphibious operations, providing increased flexibility and survivability for military forces operating in high-risk environments,” the newspaper writes.
It is noted that the MLRS weighs about 17 tons. This will allow it to be used on board landing ships and transport vessels. The MLRS can also be controlled remotely, reducing risks for crews.

The vehicle will receive an improved stabilization system, which will allow it to accurately hit targets in rough sea conditions.
Earlier in October, it became known that Poland would begin producing shells for the South Korean Homar-K MLRS. Poland has ordered 290 units, which are built on the K239 Chunmoo system.
