South Korea recorded a new record for the number of daily infections with the Corona virus, as it counted 1,615 cases, in addition to recording two deaths during the past 24 hours.
The Korean Agency for Disease Control and Prevention said today, Wednesday, that the total recorded cases in the country rose to 171911,
While the death toll reached 2048 cases.
The agency noted the increase in cases of the mutated Delta strain and the slowdown in the vaccination process at a time when South Korea is experiencing a fourth wave of the epidemic.
Corona virus, according to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency.
Yonhap added that this is the eighth consecutive day that recorded daily infections have crossed the 1,000 threshold.
