The day after the TV triall of the Chancellor candidate: inside the CDU’s Twitter channel starts a negative campaign against the SPD with the video “Olaf says nothing”.
Berlin – With the first TV triall of the candidate for chancellor: inside* from SPD*, CDU* and Greens* the election campaign goes to Bundestag election* In the exciting phase – clearly recognizable by the tone of the communication strategies of the major parties, which is getting rougher and rougher. This is now noticeable on Twitter in a short video that has been distributed since Monday (08/30/2021) via the CDU’s official Twitter channel.
It is in the style of “Sendung mit der Maus” against SPD chancellor candidates Olaf Scholz*, who has been the favorite for the Chancellery for many weeks in surveys among the population and has been at the top of the three candidates for many viewers and the media, even in the TV trilogy, than the opponents Annalena Baerbock* (Green) and Armin Laschet* (CDU). The fact that Olaf Scholz is running for the Chancellery is commented on by the Union Party’s emphatically young campaign with the linguistic evergreen: “Sounds funny, but that’s how it is”.
With negative advertising in the election campaign for the federal election: CDU publishes video “Olaf says nothing”
The biggest point of criticism that the CDU elaborates on Scholz in its video on the basis of various examples is Scholz’s speechlessness, interpreted by the Union Party, when it comes to topics that he supposedly – at least according to the Union’s understanding – of the SPD party leader Saskia Esken and Norbert Walter-Borjans as well as deputy Kevin Kühnert gets dictated: unlike his own candidate for Chancellor Armin Laschet (CDU), Scholz does not hold a board position. The Scholz in the explanatory video of the CDU brings that to hide a tear.
Among the points on which Scholz “remains silent” in order to become Chancellor are, according to the Union, tax increases for the economy, the abolition of Hartz 4 sanctions and the opposition of a majority of the Social Democrats to plans that armed the Bundeswehr Upgrade drones. The SPD now has a “great, new idea”, namely: red-red-green, which is illustrated in the video with the photo of a squatting and the reference that the consequences of this have been “admired for a long time in Berlin”. Similar forecasts CDU General Secretary Paul Ziemiak also did on Sunday evening* on the ARD talk show with Anne Will. A government without the participation of the CDU would have Ziemiak’s prediction of “catastrophic” effects on Germany.
Not the first negative advertising for the federal election: SPD received criticism with a Laschet spot
The new election commercial follows promises made by the CDU that they want to focus on content in the election campaign, but also on an election commercial of the SPD with a very similar approach. At the beginning of August, the Social Democrats presented a controversial video that focused on possible ultra-conservative influences on the Catholic candidate for Chancellor Laschet. A few days after the video caused public excitement, Scholz spoke up with the assurance that they did not want to use the campaign video. (Sandra Kathe) * fr.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
