Sony has removed the interview with Neil Druckmann after the controversy regarding the sentences that were attributed to the author, but which he never actually uttered. In a note, the company explained what happened and wanted to apologize to the co-president of Naughty Dog,
“In double-checking our recent interview with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann we found several significant errors and inaccuracies that do not represent his perspective and values regarding topics such as animation, writing, technology, artificial intelligence and future projects,” Sony’s message reads.
“We apologize to Neil for having misrepresented his words and for any negative impact this interview may have caused on him and his team. In agreement with Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive Entertainment we have decided to remove the interview.”
