The Department of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality will continue to collaborate with the Ampuero City Council in the promotion of young people and the development of care projects for the elderly. This was conveyed by the councilor of the area, Begoña Gómez del Río, to the mayor of the municipality, Amaya Fernández, in a work meeting they held to address “essential” projects related, above all, to youth.
As reported by the Government in a press release, in addition, during the meeting both analyzed the activities that are currently carried out and the possibility of launching new initiatives in the capital of Bajo Asón. “Collaboration with local entities is essential to carry out primary care social services, because as entities that are at the foot of the canyon, in direct and close contact with neighbors, they are the first to detect the main needs of the population “said the counselor.
For her part, the mayor thanked the counselor for her receptiveness to all the municipality’s proposals, and has insisted on the success of the programs carried out jointly by both administrations. The Ampuero youth information office Last year it received a subsidy from the Ministry of 5,000 euros as a “clear commitment” from the Government of Cantabria for youth, which was complemented with the development of four new activities aimed at this type of audience.
