“According to all the laws, we should have gotten into a blind traffic jam, but we tried and are working ahead of the curve. Less than 10% of the population arrived, and the volume of the road network was increased by 17% in area, about a thousand kilometers of roads were built during this time. And we continue to develop the road network further, ”he said.
The mayor noted that one of the main road projects is the development of four chords that connect the outskirts of the city without going into the center.
According to him, the Russian government is also helping to develop the road network.
“Plus, colleagues from the Russian government are helping. These are the outbound routes beyond the Moscow Ring Road, as you see, a huge number of reconstructions that have taken place there and are continuing. Construction of the Central Ring Road. All this together forms another road network, ”the mayor concluded.
Earlier, on November 10, the Telegram channel of the Moscow Department of Transport reported that the traffic congestion in Moscow in October this year compared to the same month last year decreased by 13%, and the average flow rate increased by 7%.
In the mornings, the number of cars inside the Third Transport Ring (TTK) decreased by 5%, and cars – by 5% more than last year.
