He added that the ultimate goal is to create a comfortable environment for living, resting and working close to home in each area. Thus, the outdated concept of “sleeping area” will finally go into the archive.
Earlier, Sobyanin approved the construction of a new high-speed railway (HSR) from the capital to St. Petersburg. The length of the path will be 680 kilometers. Of these, 43 kilometers will pass through the territory of Moscow. The opening of the highway will reduce travel time between cities to 2 hours 30 minutes.
