TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak stood up for a Russian who pretended to be a doctor and entered the “red zone” of the hospital to help his grandmother. According to her, a resident of Tomsk was unjustly fired and in another country he would have been a hero. She wrote about this in her Instagram-account.
In her opinion, “brilliant and wonderful people” live in Russia, and a resident of Tomsk who dared to do such an act is “a simple man with a huge heart” who loves his grandmother so much that he is ready to come to the “red zone”, to cheat so that an elderly relative is good.
“And this is the difference in mentality! In another country, such a person for such an act would be given a bonus at work, would be called a hero, but here they are left without a livelihood, ”Sobchak wrote. She noted that the dismissal of the man with the comment of his superiors “we do not need bright personalities here” and the requirement of the hospital to take the elderly sick woman home after the incident reflects the state of affairs in Russia.
The TV presenter called the incident a nightmare and horror and expressed the hope that the man will work out everything, that he will be offered a job in the city.
Earlier it was reported that after the scandalous story, the grandson of an elderly Russian woman lost his job. Now he fears persecution from the security forces.
According to him, the 84-year-old grandmother was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia. A roommate told him that the doctors did not treat or feed the pensioner, nor did they change her diapers. Then he changed into a doctor’s uniform, entered the “red zone” of the institution, where he filmed everything that was happening on video.
At the same time, the department of therapy of the coronavirus hospital in Tomsk said that the patient received a full range of treatment, she is being properly cared for, but her condition is currently assessed as moderate.
