The annual meeting – a note reports – saw the direct exercise of the vote by members forced to use the ocular communicator, precisely by virtue of the recent recognition by the Ministry of Justice of the right to non-verbal communication. The event made it possible to renew the National Board of Directors and discuss future prospects. The annual budget demonstrated positive results, thanks to the commitment of volunteers and donations. The transformation into an Association for Social Promotion (APS) was also approved. There were two days of intense work – the note reports – which involved volunteers from 64 Aisla offices and sections from 19 Italian regions.
The first day, dedicated to debate and discussion, in which the volunteers had the opportunity to share strategies in supporting patients with ALS and their families, concluded with the traditional social dinner, a moment of aggregation and celebration, present also the singer-songwriter Ron, testimonial of Aisla for over ten years, an association for more than 40 years committed to the protection, assistance and treatment of ALS patients, a neurodegenerative pathology that affects motor neurons and progressively limits muscular activity, leading to paralysis.

The official signature – the note details – took place in the presence of the notary Clerici, with the filing of the deed together with the request for registration in the Single Register of the Third Sector (Runts) in the form of a Social Promotion Association (Aps). The Members’ Assembly also elected the 13 national councilors who will lead the association for the next three years. Under the leadership of Fulvia Massimelli, national president of Aisla in her second mandate, the newly elected Paolo Zanini will work (he will also be national vice-president); Pina Esposito (who was confirmed as general secretary); Antonello Palliotta (treasurer).
