Skyblivion almost on the home straight.
Skyblivion has been in development for nearly 10 years, with the aim of bringing Oblivion to modern standards by remaking it from scratch in the Skyrim. While the fan-created project won’t be releasing anytime soon, the team had a lot to share in their new 15-minute update video.
The team managed to bring together Bruma, the snowy city on the edge of Skyrim, create new goblin tribes, upgrade citizens with Oblivion-style clothing, add unique weapons, finish Daedric artifacts, and “much, much more”. And as the video updates eagerly awaited fans, the team asks anyone who wants to join the squad to put their experience to good use.
As for Daedric artifacts, Skyblivion is not only reimagining their graphics, it is also altering the way they work. They will be more powerful. Umbra, for example, will glow a deep purple when absorbing souls, while Volendrung will literally shake the ground as he slams to the ground, stunning enemies.
The mod doesn’t have a release date yet, but in the video the creators claim to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Surely when the mod comes out it will be a valid alternative to pass the time that separates us from the release of The Elder Scrolls VI.
