Sky Serie, Sky Investigation, Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature add to the already complete range of channels. With Sky Uno, Sky Atlantic and Sky Arte bring the number of Sky branded channels in the entertainment area to 7, thus guaranteeing a considerable expansion of the variety of genres offered, with many new features aimed at as wide an audience as possible. And with Sky Cinema, Sky Sport and Sky TG24 news and insights, they ensure a new season that is increasingly full of quality entertainment and information for everyone.
The four new channels will offer all Sky customers hundreds of titles every year, about 3 thousand hours of programming per month is at least one first viewing per day between original productions, unpublished contents and great classics, with some of the most anticipated titles of the season and with the series that have made TV history.
They will all be in High Definition with usable content too on demand. The channels will also be visible on the move with Sky Go.
Ample space will be reserved for series and documentaries Sky Original, with Italian and international productions. Among the new original titles “Give me back my wife”, which marks the return of Fabio De Luigi on TV and “At home, everyone is fine – The series”, first serial project of Gabriele Muccino, which will land on Sky Serie and will join the last, highly anticipated season of “Gomorra – The Series” and the new financial thriller “Devils” with Alessandro Borghi and Patrick Dempsey, expected on Sky Atlantic.
Sky Documentaries will also host the exclusive investigations of the new season of a true TV cult: “The witness”, reportage program conceived, directed and conducted by Pif, and the stories of great sports icons such as “Bruno vs Tyson”, but not only.
To make the TV series offer even more complete, two new entirely dedicated channels will join Sky Atlantic:
Sky Series (from July 1st to channel 112), the channel offering mainstream series and a wide variety of genres. It is characterized by great international hits: from drama to family sagas, and will host some of the brand new Sky Original titles such as “Give me back my wife” is “At home everyone is fine – The series”, Just to name a few arriving on the channel. On Sky Investigation it will be possible to see the great international titles and many crime-themed news in first run. Titles that will also be available on demand, for a library never so rich that will include, among others, the cornerstones of the genre. Among the novelties of the first month of programming, the scientific detective “Coroner“, With Serinda Swan (Ballers, Feuf, Graceland) as a coroner who works alongside the Toronto police, “The executioner“, Action-tinged crime drama with Éric Cantona and the legal drama “Family Lawyers – Family Law”, Already renewed for a second season, with Victor Garber at the head of a rather dysfunctional family and a law firm specializing in family law. Among the many titles that will arrive, also the crime drama “The Equalizer“, With Queen Latifah, a remake of the 1980s series of the same name that had already inspired the film with Denzel Washington.
And the two new channels dedicated to the world of factual entertainment, in addition to Sky Arte, are:
Sky Documentaries (from 1 July on channels 122 and 402), the perfect place for in-depth and investigative documentaries. The icons, legends and moments that mark time, from music to current events and the most exciting biographies. Sky Documentaries is the story within the stories that change the world. To turn on the channel, in addition to the aforementioned “The witness” of Pif or “Bruno vs Tyson“, There will be titles such as the controversial miniseries”Allen vs Farrow“Which has rekindled the spotlight on allegations of sexual abuse against the director,”Hillary“, An intense portrait of the former US Secretary of State or”Tiger Woods”, A revealing look at the rise, fall and epic return of an icon. Sky Nature (from 1 July on channels 124 and 404) opens a window on the world of nature with spectacular programming and high-quality content, dedicated to exploring the beauty of the natural world. The channel will feature the best of international documentaries and environmental-themed reportages and will also be the home of Love Nature, one of the world leaders in naturalistic content. It will also inaugurate the birth of Sky Nature “Greta Thunberg – A year to save the world”, the docu-series that follows the young activist between 2019 and 2020. Sky Nature will also be a magnifying glass on environmental protection, which has always been one of the main values of the Sky group, active at the forefront through concrete projects to promote responsible business. With the campaign Sky Zero, the group is committed to being the first media company in Europe to become net zero carbon by 2030, reducing emissions generated by its products, suppliers and business by at least 50%.
