Skoda continues to develop an experimental car, in the creation of which students of the brand’s technical school take part. About this February 11 informs press service of the Czech company.
The new project will be a compact crossover called Afriq, based on the Kamiq model.
“The name Afriq chosen by the students indicates, in particular, the responsibility of Skoda Auto for all the activities of the Volkswagen Group in North Africa, where the Dakar Rally originates,” the report says.
It is noted that at the moment, students are making the latest improvements to the design of the car. The premiere of the Skoda Afriq crossover will take place in the spring of 2022.
On February 2, it was reported that Skoda will introduce the top version of the Fabia hatchback to the European market at the end of the year, which will be called Monte Carlo.
The novelty will differ from the regular version of the Fabia with 18-inch black alloy wheels and dark lining on the bumper and B-pillars. The Fabia Monte Carlo will also have a black roof. In the interior of the car, sports seats with special upholstery will be installed.
