Skin tumors are often benign which have a bad aesthetic impact but are not dangerous. The malicious ones are instead the basal cell carcinoma (or basal cell), the most frequent of all which represents almost 80% of cases, squamous cell (or squamous cell) carcinoma and, finally, the most aggressive, melanoma. Taken together, they are by far the most frequent neoplasms: on average every year at least 80 thousand people receive a diagnosis of skin cancer, of which almost 14 thousand are melanomas. Fortunately, the cure rates are high: 90% of patients live 5 years after the discovery of the disease.
