Coronavirus exposures or infections increase on the Finnish ski team at the Tour de Sk. Vilma Nissinen will be excluded from the cross-country stage due to exposure.
Nissinen has already traveled from Switzerland to Finland and will not start the six-race tour starting on Tuesday.
Ski Association told Tour during the Christmas holidays Eveliina Piipon coronary infection. Nissinen was exposed as a result of Piipo’s illness, but Nisinen’s corona tests have been negative and she has had no symptoms suggestive of the illness.
Nissinen abandoned the Tour based on the team’s internal risk assessment.
