Cross-country skiing queenly Therese Johaugin the pace is once again a daunting week for rivals before the World Cup opening weekend in Ruka.
On Saturday, Johaug dominated the 10-kilometer race at the traditional Norwegian ski season opening in Beitostølen, and on Sunday the same pace continued at 10-kilometer free. Johaug has won both Beito opening races for three years in a row.
In Sunday’s race Heidi Weng missed 36 seconds and a 19-year promise Helene Marie Fossesholm 51.
“Indicator I’m fine. The speed of delivery is, and I’m in it, where it should be before the opening of the World Cup, “Johaug paved the way for Ruka mc-opening.
Johaug is not surprised by the hasty information from Sweden Frida Karlsson and Ebba Anderssonin from the fast pace in the Swedish mutual competitions.
“Hehheh, fun to hear, let’s see who takes the longest stalk,” Johaug smiled.
At the opening of the Swedish season in Bruksvallarna, Andersson narrowly beat Karlsson on Friday with a traditional ten. On Sunday, the free ten parts were changed.
