Iivo Niskanen could not keep up with the top race in the 30 km combined race in Lahti on Saturday.
Niskanen lost his grip on the winning race of the mc race in the hinterland of the Lahti jumping hills after the hardest ascent, with four kilometers left.
The race was won by a Norwegian cannon Emil Iversen before the reigning world champion Sjur Røtheä. Niskanen was eighth.
Traditional the section Niskanen skied quite moderately, because on a relatively easy 2.5-kilometer track it was difficult to ski the hose scattered.
