Violinist Daniil Bessonov won the Grand Prix among the laureates of the 1st prizes at the III All-Russian competition for young musicians “Constellation”. On Saturday, August 14, Izvestia was informed about this in the press service of the competition.
It is noted that the main prize was also claimed by the violinist Margarita Gladysheva, who shared the victory with Daniil in the Orchestral String Instruments nomination, and the clarinetist Anna Katenina, who became the best among musicians playing wind instruments. The pianists were not awarded the 1st prize this year.
“We awarded the Grand Prix to Bessonov unanimously: he played better and better from round to round. At the second stage, the soundboard came unstuck during his performance: there were almost two centimeters between the string and the neck. I can’t imagine how it was possible to finish playing on such a violin. But he did it, and in the final he showed his artistry. Daniil is a very promising musician, ”said the director of the Central Music School at the Moscow State PI Conservatory. Tchaikovsky, member of the expert council of the Educational Center “Sirius” Valery Pyasetsky.
As the winner of the Grand Prix, Bessonov received the right to use a master violin of the highest class from the collection of the Central School of Music. Gladysheva, who shared first place with him in the nomination, won a special prize from the House of Violin: a bow from the workshop of the modern Belgian master Pierre Guillaume.
Daniel noted that he did not expect this victory, but he is very happy about it.
“A musician has to constantly develop, so I will study even more. Now I dream of learning a Sibelius concert and playing it on a professional stage, ”he added.
This year Denis Matsuev, People’s Artist of Russia, member of the Presidential Council for Culture and Arts, joined the organizing committee of the competition.… At the “Constellation” from him personally and from the New Names Foundation, three contestants – clarinetist Anna Katenina, trumpeter Alexander Rublev and pianist Gleb Semenov – were presented with invitations to participate in the Crescendo music festival, international music festivals Denis Matsuev Presents and Stars on Baikal “.
The head of the Sirius Educational Center Elena Shmeleva emphasized that the level of the musicians’ skill grows from year to year, and the geography of the participants is expanding. According to her, classes at the Center with the best teachers from universities and conservatories, as well as subsequent support, including at the “Constellation” competition, allows participants in educational programs to perform with outstanding musicians at the largest venues in Russia.
The “Constellation” competition was held for the third time this year. 21 performers from 11 regions of Russia took part in it. All of them at different times studied at the specialized programs of the Sirius Center and received the highest scores from the teachers.
