The path of Jannik Sinner continues at the ATP 500 tournament in Washington, in the season of American hard courts. The 19-year-old from Sesto Pusteria, number 24 in the ranking and fifth-seeded, won in two sets against the American Sebastian Korda, 21 from Brandeton and number 45 in the ranking, with a score of 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3) in just under two hours of gameplay. In the quarterfinals Sinner will face another American, Steve Johnson (n.81 in the standings) who beat Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis 6-2, 6-1.
