Be a fan of silent Hill it’s hard, now we all know. After the unfortunate end of PT (rest in peace), the series ended in a death-like hibernation, transforming itself from an institution of survival horror (albeit already in difficulty since the dissolution of Team Silent) to a concept, suggestion and memory.
With Hideo Kojima presumably engaged on their own IPs e Keiichiro Toyamaoriginal creator of the series, about the mysterious Slitterhead, many are wondering what the future of the series will be. In recent years, the rumors about an alleged new chapter have alternated with some insistence, leading to real phenomena of mass hysteria such as the recent case Abandoned.
Yet the signs don’t seem particularly propitious: Konami he let the Silent Hill web domain expire, now in the hands of a witty buyer who wanted to mock the company with a provocative gesture. In fact, on the former official website of the series there is only an image, a tweet made by Masahiro Itodesigner of Silent Hill, who reports the following words:
“I wish I hadn’t designed fxxxin Pyramid Head.”
In the hope that one day we will return to talk about the series with optimism, we invite you to read our article on the history of Silent Hill and on possible future developments, on which, however, this latest event casts a particularly dark shadow.
